Nice shot Joe
Does it feel cumbersome with the adapter?
I like the ability to remove the tripod mount.

thanks randy!
not cumbersome at all...with the wrist strap i have taken off the grip and it feels comfy...i do keep hitting my forehead when putting the camera up to my eye...forgetting there is no finder can be dangerous 😉 at times...

the camera is so small that i need to figure how to hold it more steady, getting quite a few blurry shots.

Joe, keep an eye on the shutter speed if you are using aperture priority. In my experience, the M's firmware is programmed to keep ISO low at the expense of shutter speed. This is why the camera will insist on selecting say 1/30 or 1/20 while keeping the ISO at 200 (or whatever the base is in auto).

I find the size of the camera (which is great) and the ergonomics (which really aren't) create issues with these shutter speeds. And I don't have problems with shaky hands etc. It's just silly that you can't select a minimum shutter speed along with a max ISO.

i also had the auto iso set pretty low...i changed that yesterday...i should compare what the camera selects with my fuji...the xe1 seems to 'think' like i do!

I know it's not Av mode, but the best way around this is M mode with Auto ISO, and set your shutter speed as desired.

speaking of fiftys

I just came back from the thrift store with a 50 /1.8 metal mount in pristine condition for 20 $🙂
When I mentioned I only wanted the lens the store employee took it off an Eos-620 marked for 50 $ and put another lens on the body.
My lucky day I guess.
Its mounted on the M now .
