This looks a common problem. It usually occures when the glass underneath the calibration notch is dirty or more likely when you have let excess film frames drape out over the end of the film holder and thus encroach in the calibration notch. Do not let anything cover the calibration notch at the top of your holder!
Wow, these are great. I bought a perfection Epson 3200 scanner a few years ago when I was doing 4x5. It was OK , but never worked as well as a dedicated film scanner. Now I'm looking for a good reasonable priced 35mm film scanner, but this might be the way to go. Is this really that different than my 3200? comments?
