what's the difference between the 4490 and the v500?
is it only the light source
the v500 is 20-30GBP more expensive than the 4490
is it worth?
i will probably use it with either vuescan or silverfast.
thanks for your answers

The light source is now LED which should decrease startup times, but in terms of scan results, I don't know that it really improves things.. If anything, I think the difference would be in the lens since it supposedly is rated at 6400 dpi (which is just marketing hype).
