My Epson 4990 scanner has served me well, and still does. However, there is some fogging on the underside of the glass platen. It doesn't seem to be affecting the scans yet, but I find it worrisome.
Is there a way to remove the glass so I can clean the underside?

I've been inside three different Epson scanners. Once you find the right screws it's pretty simple to crack it open and get to the glass.
