Epson rd1 broke ISO plate help. Is it same as bessa r3?

I'm looking for help my ISO plate broke. The lever that changes the ISO snapped off.. I can't get it soldered anywhere and wonder does the bess r3 have the same ISO plate?? Also can some body explain to me how the plate changes the ISO? Maybe I can stick something in there to change the ISO...

Sounds like something a tech should do, Steve's Camera seems to be the go to for RD-1 issues.

No experience to weigh in, but I can't imagine it would be worth hacking.

Second the Steve's Camera. I've had two fixed there.

See this. It's quite easy to take apart the shutter button/ISO selector to diagnose the issue. Just remember the speed/ISO settings you start out with. The part that physically changes the ISO is no. 8 from the top as seen in the link - the ring with a bit that protrudes downwards.

The lever broke off so now the ISO is stuck at 200
Steve's camera shop said they can't repair it that I need a new ISO plate .. So now I'm stuck trying to steel glue the plate and lever or thinking about making a new ISO plate for it from scratch... Thank you fellas for the help.. Any other input would help a lot.

When I was shopping for a new hot shoe for my R-D1, I found a German seller of spare parts for the camera. They seemed to be well-stocked at the time. I'd suggest giving them a call. Their website is down for maintenance at the moment. Maybe you can find their phone number, or check the site again later.
The part you're looking for is called an 'ISO stopper' in their catalog.
