Epson V370 : Awful results

Some of these remind me of the 35/1.4 shot wide open. Were you close to f1.4 in any of these? You'll get a bunch of glow if you are.

You might want to try isolating some variables. Shoot with a tripod (or otherwise stable) at ~f8 so you know you are starting with a negative with as much resolution as possible. That may help you determine what is on the negative vs lost during the scan.

I'd also suggest turning off as much processing that happens at scan time as you can to avoid that causing confusion. Then turn on options or make adjustments one at a time to isolate exactly what each step does to the image.

THis thread has some great info.
I am in the process of buying a flatbed scanner to scan some of my film photos.
I can get the V370 at about 130eur and an epson 3200 used for about 80eur and a 4490 for 150eur (used).
The V370 is the better option right?

I would not recommend the 370 if you want to scan film larger than 35 mm. I would buy a 4490 over a 3200 as long as you won't need to scan larger than 120. Look for a used or refurbished V500/550 to see if you can find one of those. That price for the 4490 seems high. I bet you can do better.
