Keep in mind that you can't use IR dust removal with conventional BW films. But I guess you already knew that!
I have the Plustek 7600 and it's a great scanner.
So if i shoot B&W it doesn't matter?

No, it doesn't. Unless you shoot Kodak BW400CN or other C41 BW films, then you can benefit from the 7600.

I shoot exklusive non c41 B&W. Okej so the IQ in the 7400 is the same as in the 7600?

So what i do now is make small contact scans with the Epson and then rscan the keepers with the Plustek.
That was my initial idea when I thought about buying a replacement for my ageing Coolscan. But then you are almost in Plustek 120 territory, cost wise, which will do 12 35mm frames in one batch, too.

I used to use V330. After I got the 7600 I just keep V330 for office scanning only. It was a pain to clean the glass of V330, not to mention 7600 is ten times sharper - I don't have my comparison samples off hand though.
Okej, is that the only thing? My v330 is dusty as hell!

Even though you exclusively use B&W film you may find yourself scanning some C-41 or E-6 in the future. Either shot by you or a friend or family member or even find shoebox with slides from your dads army days. Just something to think about.I shoot exklusive non c41 B&W. Thanks. Surprised that the difference between V700 and 8100 is so big.

Go for the Plustek 8100. Every test I have ever seen put it ahead of a flat bed for 135 format negs.
Also the 8100 comes with Silverfast 8 that has a multi-exposure / HDR function that will pull considerable detail out of highlights and shadows.
The 8100 is also a lot easier to transport if you are traveling...
