I can`t speak about the V750 but the V700 and that scanner holds up well against the Coolscan4000ED.
maddoc, any chance you could share comparative samples?

My Epson V700 is fantastic for black and white 35mm. I mainly got the Nikon 5000 or whatever it's called because of the bulk of the V700 in my small house. I ignore everything I read on how a flatbed can't do good scans. It's rubbish.
