Last weekend it was hot and sun was shining, yesterday there was heavy rain and it was very cold and windy. Istanbul's weather is unpredictable especially in this season. Be ready for every whether condition.

One of the first saying I was introduced to in Istanbul was this:

He might have said "unpredictible". In any case, the guy telling me this while we were sitting on a bench halfway up the Bosphorus got smacked pretty good by his lady friend. 😀

For my monday and tuesday nights (flying back on wednesday), the fabulous shared penthouse will no longer be available so I was planning to find a hostel (or similar) in an area which seems most interesting over the weekend. Do our local RFF colleagues think Istanbul still has few enough tourists for a couple of nights at short notice to be possible, or will everywhere already be booked?!

Now, what to bring with me . . .
