I'm so glad it came to an end. It was only when it was over I realised what weight she was around my neck.
Back packing through Kenya (poor scans of velvia probably):

This isn't my best photo of her, but it's my favourite memory of her. I loved her a lot, and shared some of my greatest memories with her; however, people change. I broke her heart and I still feel guilty for it because she still loved me a lot when I stopped loving her. I feel even more guilty when I see what she went through after the break up and see the person she's become today.

This photo was taken after we broke up, when I started having feelings for her again, but she wouldn't take me back, not wanting to get hurt again. I travelled an hour back to Toronto to visit her one weekend, and we took a walk around her favourite places. We stopped by a convenience store selling bouquets of cabbage, and I bought her one. She was still the girl I fell in love with at this point in time. The same can't be said now.

Brunswick and Harbord, wonderful area.

I hope you can find inner peace re:this break up, will take time though, good luck.

Oh geez! I posted this to the wrong thread. I posted in the "EX" thread when Linda and I are still together! Darn my hide anyway! It must have been one of those "senior moments" again! Ha, ha!

When I first saw this thread months ago I thought of some photos I had taken back in college, but had no idea where they ended up. When I saw the thread brought back to life, I went on a search.

First true love, 1979, she was an ice skater:

Gave my buddy the camera and asked him to take this one:

Lasted only six months, but what a wonderful adventure.

Best,

Paul, you are so right! I'd better come up with something more than roses! Perhaps a nice dinner some place. She likes Red Lobster! Hmmm, it just might do the trick! Thanks Paul, you probably saved my bacon!

A really boring girlfriend history.

Never been much for dating. Met a beautiful young lady when I was 25 (she was 20), went on a few dates, mainly with friends. Married her, had 3 kids, she died of cancer after 10 years. Single for 3 years, met a lady with 2 kids, dated a few times, got married, been together for 25 years. She said she married me because I was boring. All her relationships had been full of drama and conflict and she wanted calm, steady and trustworthy even if not exciting.

Oh well.

PS; Computer dummy, don't know how to post a picture of either of my loves.

man, this was very heart rending for me to read. probably due to the fact about how much i can relate. it is a hard thing when someone we had and thought of as ours is suddenly taken, not by force, but by life. people grow cold, and before we realize what we had, it's gone.

hope you are mending well. like someone said, these definitely take time.
