My M5s need red dots!
Recently, my iMac downloaded and installed a software update from Epson that supposedly adapts computers to the High Sierra operative system. My iMac is fairly old, but it's updated all the way to Yosemite. I would like to update the OS to High Sierra just so as not to fall too far behind but the last time I updated the system it took me some struggle to get the computer talk to the scanner.
Anyone here updated to High Sierra recently? How was it when it came to working with Epson peripherals? Does someone here have a Mac of any type connected to an Epson scanner? What would you do?
At least, the update isn't recent, and it's in my computer already... I'm just not ready to sit in front of it trying to figure out how to make it work.
Thanks in advance!!

The best camera is one that still works!
I've just updated to high sierra and I have an epson v700 so have looked into this. I was thinking of just buying vuescan and then it isn't an issue. I may download the patch to see what happens first though.

Reciprocity Failure
I'm on a Macbook pro and have a Coolscan V - I have not yet tried to connect since updating to High Sierra. In the past, before I found appropriate patches, I've had to jump over to VueScan (instead of Silverfast).
