Experience with Kevincameras ?

I haven't bought anything from him yet, but his fast, courteous communications are a very major plus in my mind. His prices are usually on the high side, but OTOH, he always has so many photos that it's as close to handling an item as you can get on the web. When I get the money, I'll probably simply go to him for my Canon lenses rather than pay ebay roulette.

He buys under a different user name than he uses to sell on eBay (kinche-I); he keeps this feedback private and was recently suspended temporarily for exceeding four negative feedbacks within a one month period. I choose not to do business with him and he has been blocked from bidding on any of my auctions. Make your own choice but I would advise you to proceed cautiously and buy wisely.

Once I bid on one of his lenses, and I did not win the auction. He then informed me that he had a second lens in not so good shape, that he could sell me for far less. Then he informed me that the lens was worse than he feared, and that he could not advise me to buy it. I thought that this was a decent thing to do. Just for balance ...

i bought a canon 35mm 1.8 from him and the transaction went smoothly.....quickly answers questions and is a good seller...prices may be a little more but he is honest, fast and his items are of good quality...highly recommend

Kevin is A-OK

Kevin is A-OK

I've done business with him on at least three transactions. He's honest and reasonable.

He's negotiable on his prices, btw.

I bought six lenses from him and three did not work out. He took them back, no arguments and refunded my money pronto.

kevin is a good guy. i've only bought from him once, and the lens exceeded my expectations condition-wise. on top of that though, he has answered NUMEROUS long ass emails from me w/ patience, courtesy, and professionalism. couldn't recommend him more. but yes, he is quite expensive (i just bought a canon 50/1.2 from him). i'd like to try one of his film lens conversions!

I was very interested on one Elmarit lens he had in his store, but hadn't given him more than a mild assurance that I'd buy it when he put it for sale on eBay. Is this a negative? Not necessarily, but then... I probably would have done the same after letting the potential buyer know.

However, on his behalf, I must admit he was extraordinarily patient with my e-mail communications. I may consider buying something from him... some day.

BTW, I ended up buying a lens for a nicer price from Igor Camera Exchange.
