Favorite camera strap?

In the summer I like woven cotton straps because they don't get sweaty. In other seasons I like leather straps of many kinds. Although, for nostalgic reasons I like Seventies SLR's with embroidered straps, and there's no functional reason for that at all.

Why not the Leica strap? They have great connectors, are nylon material so they won't break suddenly like leather will, and have a decent pad on them.

One more vote for the Leica strap. One of the few cheap leica items. Stays put on your shoulder and the strap wraps easly around the wrist. I like to fine-tune the lenght of my straps, so the adjustability of the Leica strap is key. Best of all, at the lenght I prefer, it forms a handy wrist strap loop.

I didn't know about this company, thank you. Some very nice designs there.

I've used Barton 1972 for a long time. Good value for money and simple unobstrusive designs (and other ones too).

There is a Korean company called Arnuvo that makes several variety of straps mostly leather and nylon/canvas. Varied widths and lengths.
I have several and find them to be excellent and inexpensive. I use the cloth straps either 30 or 40mm wide.
They remind me of the Deluxe Strap from Voigtlander but many more colors.

upstraps on my work dslrs, I like the A&A slider type on my Df, Luigi strap on my M2 and OEM strap on my M9.

I enjoy the A&A ACAM-108 wrist/neck strap on the smaller cameras. No more fiddling on wrapping the strap around your wrist (while the last section keep falling off).

With an extra piece of ultrasuede attached it's perfect.

That's my pick (the 14312) for anything up to and including my Nikon F3HP with MD4. I also turned a worn one into a couple of quick-release wrist-straps.

Over the years I've tried a bunch of straps but I keep going back to the Luigi's.

Well made, look good and they work. I also like the standard Leica Strap.

Hi guys,

I just picked up my first Leica M6 a few hours ago but it doesn't have a camera strap. I was wondering what everyone's favorite camera strap is or which brands they'd recommend.

I'm looking possibly for a leather one. The Annie Barton has caught my eyes but it seems to be a bit pricey.

Cheers!
I think Gordy's camera straps have a good balance of quality, price, craftsmanship and style. I own one 37" and one hand strap. Love them both.
