Favorite camera strap?

I have a Luigi leicatime.com strap on my M6/M5 and Fuji x100, not the most user friendly site but Luigi and his daughter are great people.....

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I've decided to try the Gordy's strap for now, it's got a nice minimal design and I can pick it up locally at a store.

I'm also going to check out the Domke Gripper but might have to order that in. I'm probably going to look into a few more that you guys have recommended as I'll need one for my XT2 as well!

Thanks again!

i also like the artisan and artist acam-102 that was recommended a few posts earlier for a few reasons

For me, a camera strap must be lightweight and breathable and low bulk. Straps that have multiple layers of fabric for adjustment, are made from leather, or are made from thick objects (silk cord or woven leather) are also generally a non-starter for me. The strap must be able to be easily wrapped around the hand for when I dont want it around my neck and also present a minimum amount of bulk for when the camera is inside a bag. I'm also not one for flashy or "unique" straps. I want the most boring looking thing I can find. I also dont like straps with bulky attachment to the camera with clips and extra rings but do require that the strap have some sort of built in protection between the ring and the camera body. In all these areas the ACAM102 excels.

The only couple of areas that the AA strap might fall short is that I think it would be fairly easy for a thief to cut with the right blade and that it might stain your clothes if you're out shooting in the rain with light colored clothing. But ive never had an issue with either.

Love Gordy's straps

For me my fav strap is without question the original Leica M strap. I've tried several leather straps, an Artisan and Artist strap, I just don't like the feel of them. The M strap is perfect for me. So nice that I even have a 2nd M strap for some reason lol. A back up I guess

Have you -- has anyone -- used one of the Harry Benz straps in the rain? Or during heavy physical activity? I'm out in the rain a lot and going up and down small mountains a lot and with the damp from the sky and sweat I've had many many white shirts stained brown across the shoulders from leather straps and have been using a canvas strap for a few years as a result (By Roberu: https://www.amazon.com/ROBERU-Canvas-camera-holder-colors/dp/B00L1S80ZM?th=1 ). The Vintage B strap is beautiful though and if I thought it wasn't a likely source of stains I'd buy one

I use my MP with the B strap for both ski touring and mountain climbing. Works like a charm. In the rain, my camera is usually in my pack.

Looks like you've already made your decision, but I'll throw out another suggestion: http://cubandcompany.com/goods

They're handmade in New York, they look and feel amazing, and the owner is a great guy. I have them on all 4 of my cameras now after using A&A 103N straps for years.

Here are 3 of them; olive, black, brown

I recently added an olive strap with shoulder pad to my Hasselblad.

I use only wrist straps on my 35's - rangefinder and SLR. I make them myself from
cord - recently parachute cord purchased in Walmart.

I like this one...I've made a few of these...
The cost was about $10 each...takes about an hour or so to put it together...
I do like the Domke Gripper straps without the QR, the last strap I bought was the Op/Tech with padding...

Same for me here. The original strap that came with the camera. It's adjustable, strong and not too thick in the width.

Why not the Leica strap? They have great connectors, are nylon material so they won't break suddenly like leather will, and have a decent pad on them.

I totally agree with this. A great strap and I own several now.

I am also very fond of the inexpensive cloth and nylon strap that came stock with the Vivitar V3800n. One of these is permanently attached to my M-A.

I also love the leather strap attached to my Rolleiflex, made by some famous Italian strap maker whose name escapes my feeble mind right now.

And, believe it or not, the old shoelace strap that came stock with my Pentax K1000. Narrow, very strong and robust (has lasted since 1984), not too slick but moves around on my shoulder easily and is flexible enough not to get in my way when taking photographs.

Put me down as a big fan of Gordy's staps. I particularly like the hand strap with the wrist guard... and keep in on my Sony's. For cameras with great meters, I think this works fine as the only other way I carry these is putting the camera in a Think Tank holster. With my Leica M4-2 I'm figuring I'll be working with the hand held meter a lot more, so I took the wrist strap off and put a full Gordy's neck stap on. Very comfortable. And with the small lenses on these cameras, you really don't need the heave lifting sort you'd want for long lenses.
