Favorite camera strap?

Not leather, but the domke gripper (w/swivel) is on every camera of mine that can take a strap.

I could not agree more! I have been using Domke straps on all my cameras for the last 15 years or so.
Discreet and they can take a lot of damage before you have to replace them.

I like leather. It looks better as it ages and it lasts nearly forever with minimum care. A few years back, with no prior knowledge other than just looking at the online photos, I ordered a Ciesta strap from Amazon. Standard leather strap with nylon webbing that attaches to the camera. Turned out to be one of the best purchases I have made in camera accessories. I've bought several since then. They're on all my cameras today and I still like them. Price varies from a little less to a little over $40.

I hear that the newest thing in camera straps is a multi-colored, french braided speaker wire camera strap. Unbreakable, oxygen free copper, flexible, looks fantastic, and best of all, if one is in need of speaker wire to connect a speaker to an amp one can make the ultimate sacrifice and use their strap to keep the party going. It’s the sort of thing that a good photographer would do; no doubt about it.

I usw the old contax G strap.
Its little curved not flat so its lying perfect around neck or shoulder.

As I use contax g glass, I'm allowed to use it ;-)

I think Gordy's camera straps have a good balance of quality, price, craftsmanship and style. I own one 37" and one hand strap. Love them both.

I had one of those on a camera for a few years until I went to grab it out of my bag by the strap and it pulled apart. Really freaked me out and I stopped using them since.

I love the fixed length artisan and artist straps. Simple and looks nice.

I've tried multiple designer straps and keep going right back to the strap Leica has included with every camera sold going back to at least the M6. It's comfortable and durable.

No one has mentioned the Peak Design Leash. Easily adjusted, long enough to be used as a cross body strap, not very expensive and the attachment anchors are made from the same nylon thread used for sport kites. I use a couple of Nikon triangular split rings with the plastic bumpers through the strap lugs.

Favorite camera strap?

I like the cheap chimese "PU leather" wrist straps from China, and thinner paracord neck straps (the thick ones are too stiff) long. enough to wear bandolier style. They are also cheap to make though the only paracord i could find locally was either too thin or rough feeling. What i like about long thin paracord straps is you can twist a knot or two into them to alter the length as you need to at the time.
