New York February NYC Meet-Up/ Fourth Annual Camera Beauty Contest

Someone was trying to estimate the value of the gear we had at Puck Fair, and I think we were close to $100,000. Of course, Klaus' MM+Noct, Cal's new MM, and Cristian's II with the M4 winder accounted for most of the value...and yes, I almost forgot Cal's Leica II with that humongous Abrahamsson grip.

Sam,

You are the winner of that bakelite Norwood Director. I lobbied on your behalf knowing you were the person who would most appeciate it.

Cal

Thank you very much, Cal. Really appreciate the lobbying. Norwood Director will keep company of Tenax II. I will soon upload some images from the first roll, I shot with it.
It is very unfortunate, but I had to run after being at Puck Fair for only about an hour. I only had time to show cameras I promised John I would bring, and submit my entry. My 4 year old lady companion insisted we go home on more than one occasion, so I had to comply. I didn't have time to mingle or fondle gear. I didn't even have time to introduce myself to anyone I don't know except for Phil.
But I had fun , and so did my daughter. I look forward to future meets.

Sam,
I loved it when Cal offered her his little camera, and she pulled out her Hello Kitty camera. She showed him!!! and John was eating his heart out over the Hello Kitty.

Jean-Marc,
It was pretty funny. Veronica was fighting with her 2 year old sister today over whose is "super-camera"(the one she got from Cal).

I'm really curious what the estimate was for the leica IIIc (downgraded to IIc)with winder. My total investment in it was a little more than $50, not counting the lens and labor of course.

Sam,

Interesting that your daughter brought home the competitive spirit from the Beauty Contest. LOL.

Also PM me about getting you that Norwood Director.

An alternative rig to Klaus' Monochrom with Noctilux is my MM with my 75 Lux.

Anyways it was great seeing some rare treasure.

Cal,
I think she just put it in her pocket with Hello Kitty camera. I will bring it back next time. I wish she would bring one of the MM's instead. ;)
Sam.

Tung, some nice shots on your blog. I want the Shintaro green M3.

Rob,

The Olive M3 was a killer. The M4 with the chrome 50 Lux ASPH annoyed a lot of people. It needs service, but I bought it for only $599 at Adorama. This M4 annoyed people and because of the price it made people green with envy. LOL.
