Hi all, I am fairly new here, and having trawled the archives to find a solution, I am trying a new post.
I have a Fed4 and I too kind the top off before reading wolves3012 post about not removing the light meter.
I have got it back together and it works, but I am sure it's not in the right assembly order as the middle bolt allows the central indicator arrow to move? Meaning that the meter can easily go out of calibration. I am sure I have all the parts, just not in he right order, even though it does work.
Does anyone have an exploded drawing or photos that would help me get this back to the way it should be?
Another option is a meter from another camera body as a pattern.
It shoots well other than that.
Thanks
Julian

Yes, I found out the hard way not to remove the meter. I also found out it very tedious to put back together properly! Unfortunately, I did not document it nor do I have a FED 4 any longer to have a look. So all I can offer you is commiseration!
I've just looked at Maizenberg's teatise and the FED 4 isn't in the copy I have either.
