Ummm--- There is no Summilux 75 post-asphAnd prices are rapidly approaching the 3000 Euro mark.
Ooops, I think I just adress it as summilux herafter, so I won't make any mistakes
Having said that, it's a long way there, before I get it. But one day... one day
Meanwhile, I might go for a emergency need lens, perhaps a jupiter or a VL...

Here are a couple of wide-open photographs with the Canon Serenar 85/1.9 on Leica M8:
So far the Serenar has been the only longer lens I have used with the M8. It's a fine lens optically. My copy has some focus issues, which have kept me from using it extensively. In addition, it is a rather large and heavy lens compared to my other M gear. Much for this reason I very recently bought the Voigtländer 75/2.5. I don't yet have any pictures made with it online, but I agree with those who praise it. While the 75/2.5 is affordable and I got a good deal on mine, my Serenar cost only about one third of its price. I believe I can fix the focusing issue after which it should be a very usable lens. But you can't beat the size of the 75/2.5.
