We drank a helluva lot of that stuff in Sorrento. I gotta say, J&B whiskey goes down sooooo well with a 2litre bottle of LC.

I have lamented the loss of that smashed bottle every dull night!

For an old codger like me, I place a cotton ball in the bottom and use one as a pocketable case for one hearing aid. Its much more comfortable in my pocket than the provided case, and the device is there if I need to listen, but not a bother if I want to ignore the world around me.

This is not only less wasteful, but, IMO, more convenient – I can pack more film in the same space without pulling the cassettes out of their containers, while stashing the wrappers away for proper disposal ("take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints", and so on). Probably a cost benefit to Ilford as well, making this a win-win-win.

Unfortunately, Ilford 35mm canisters are an essential component of my homemade 120 canisters. They're slightly wider than the average canister, so you can just shove one into the other.

Still, I'd be happier if we all used a bit less plastic.

well this thread is definitely OT so here goes. I do a lot of fly fishing. The local shop in town sells tons of flies to people who unlike myself do not tie flies. So I give them to the shop and they use them to put dry flies, wets, midges, nymphs etc into the cannisters and the customers love this. What happens after... dunno ;- )

I'll let the cat play with them. Somehow he manages to make them disappear after a while. I'm sure I'll find an enormous stack of cannisters when I get around to cleaning out the unchartered parts of the back garden..

Shoot some Kodachrome. Since there's only one processor left in the US, you'll have to mail the film away, and you'll probably want to put it in the canister for protection...
