I bought a Stylus Epic for festival season, but what's a nice film to bring with it? I like saturated colours and will probably be making mostly portrait and crowd shots...

Does it go nicely with slide film? I've got a few rolls of Provia 100f left, but is the meter good enough to use that (spotmeter, I know)?

At night, or inside tents I guess I need 400 film? Maybe a print film for more latitude: Superia?

Thanks!

I have mine loaded with K64 at present.
Too slow for what you need . I`m going to give that Porta 400 a try though.
For speed I use Superia XTRA or, for BW ,XP2.

On holiday mine (well swmbo’s cast-off actually) always lived in my pocket with 400asa superia extra in it, I dropped it once too often last year and killed it after about 10 years of faultless operation, well apart from the shutter-lag and that bloody flash default

like this, 800 and 1600 are OK too but a bit fast to use in daylight

At what speed does it shoot K64, 50? So that's overexposing it a bit, what's the effect of that (samples maybe?)?

I haven't used mine with other film than standard factory loaded. What's in manual?

"Automatic setting with DX-coded film with ISO 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200. For non DX-codedfilm and film with less than ISO 50, film speed is set to ISO 100".

I'm not sure camera will recognize ISO 64 code (it's microprocessor recognizes only seven ISO value, listed above, note it has 4-contact code reader).
So if it can not recognize ISO 64 how does it know it can be rounded to ISO 50 or 100? I guess it decides "uh oh, I can not recognize this code...let's set it ISO 100 as this is emergency scenario". Put tape over DX of Delta 3200 and camera again will expose it at ISO 100.

Any thoughts, ideas?

I`m sure that I have used K64 in the Mju before without any noticeable ill effects (to me).
Oh well, 30 frames and a trip around the world to have it processed before I find out.
