Film to Digital Leica Advice

The Monochrom CCD is better than the M9. That said, have a look at the M9 black and white conversions thread. My Monochrom seems to be a better camera than my M9-P. The shutter is quieter. Everything seems a bit smoother. Other advantages of one over the other— M9: control more tones in B and W conversions with colour sliders. Avoid blown highlights. Monochrom: you just aren't thinking of colour when out with it.

Well... The big decision has been made. I'm sticking with film, having shot the M240 and the M246 in the past several days. They are wonderful, amazing cameras and certainly things to lust over.

Just not enough to make the change. My little M7 and I will keep walking down the path until the desire to go digital kicks in again. By that time I hope I'm a better photographer and can take better advantage of the high tech.

Many thanks to all who offered opinions!

My preference continues to be an M4-P for black and white and the M9 for color.

If it wasn't for a growing interest in color photography, I wouldn't really consider digital.
