40.5mm. Depending on the vintage of the lens, Industar and Jupiter lenses used a different pitch thread in their filter mounts. The earlier ones used a .5mm pitch. The later ones, .75mm, which is also the thread pitch of commonly available filters.
Should you have one of the earlier lenses, try not to force a Western, Japanese, or contemporary filter in- the threads in either filter or lens might be stripped. You can tell if the pitches in the filter and lens threads differ- mounting the filter will feel tight or loose...but more often tight if there's a mismatch.
