Finally A Film About And By Arsenal Factory !

Thanks for the link Ruben. Interesting information. I had no idea that Arsenal made so many different products.

Something that caught my attention was the way the narrator pronounced the word Kiev. I always thought is was KEY-ev but he said KEEV. Maybe they think that is the way English speakers say it or maybe that is really how is is pronounced is Russian.

Site after the link looks a bit shabby... I get dubious banners and pop-ups with busty ladies and poker... and THIS time I was really only interesed in the Arsenal movie :D

I don't have any speakers connected to my computer. Is the talken part worth ? If it is I will download the whole cake again and connect speakers.

All in all it looks the technology is respectable, although some two decades behind.

Raid: the download is lengthy, but consistent and works very well.

K5HJ: traditionally the Arsenal factory has been an arms and amunition factory since the time of the czars. I bet it continues to be and they are hidding much more than they are showing. I assume the Russians must have made very clear agreements with Ukraine about this facility.

There is a short section about the cameras, with a few familiar items there. The Kiev 35 plastic is featured along with a 4M, the 88 and 60s.

I spotted a PC workstation with a 5 1/4 " slot, the Kiev 4M showed had an 86 year lens. Both of these would point to a film made 20 year ago.

Near the end the film shows a sight system for Mig-29 and Su-27 planes, this could help in dating the film.

Ruben, the narration does give more information, depending on your interests. Not much beyond the images in the camera section; more interesting in the history and aviation parts.
