Firmware 2.005 up--M8

i'm installing it right now, looks like a pretty small update just to fix the shutter fault error message, but who knows.

It would appear that the shutter fault issue is indeed all that's addressed.

Here's what's listed in the instructions:

Firmware Version 2.005 – The following improvements have been implemented:

Resolving the error message „Shutter fault“
When shooting in C-Mode (Continuous) or taking several pictures consecutively in S-Mode (Single), the message
„Shutter Fault“may appear on the display. The new firmware 2.005 will solve this issue.

Please note:
a. After updating to the new 2.005 firmware the LEICA M8 with quiet 1/4000s shutter and LEICA M8.2 can
not be „downgraded“ to the previous firmware.
b. User profiles will be deleted during the update process and will need to be recreated after the firmware upgrade process.​

seems to be working fine, didn't notice a single bit of difference. Can't comment on the shutter fault thing since i never had it happen to me anyway.

I just did the upgrade, it went very well but I see no real difference in how the M8 works. Oh well!

Hahaha, I had just inserted an SD card with the firmware on it when I read that too Keith!

Considering it's supposed to be the last firmware update ever for the M8 I'm a bit disappointed.
I was hoping there would be a little more to it, such as manual lens setting like the M9.
