I shot my first decent images today in a local war museum. Yearly celebration of the liberation this part of the Netherlands by the allies, so lots of militairy hardware of WWII vintage.
The picture below is an extreme test. Shot at ISO3200 with extreme contrast, handheld. In the original shot noise is hard to see (!) but pulling the shadows shows some coarseness of course, check for example the seats. I tamed this in PP. End result is very good.
Other impressions are that this camera can be customized to the Nth degree and that literally hundreds of settings will never be touched by most users, yet make accessing the stuff you do need a bit frustrating. Figuring out how to set up AF took me a whole evening ;-)
Most surprising to me is that the mirror is extremely well damped, making longer handheld shutter speeds feasible than with my D200.
