I have no experience selling or buying on all the various internet sites.
I have a new Ikon to sell and am planning on putting it up on this site.
Are there things that any of you have done that you regretted? that you did better the second time around?
I would think selling outside the U.S. would complicate things if there is a dispute.
Should I have a PayPal account?
Should I send the item before payment is made? (wouldn't think so).
Thanks for any help you can give.

To protect yourself when accepting paypal payments, make sure you use delivery confirmation on anything less than $250 in value. And signature confirmation on anything more valuable than that.
I don't think you have to worry a whole lot in this community, but you are vulnerable if you can't prove that your item was actually delivered to the buyer.
In a dispute, Paypal will side with the buyer - and force you to return the money - if you can't prove delivery.
When going through USPS, understand that there is a distinction between a signature confirmation and insurance. Even though the buyer would have to sign for an insured item, it won't help you.
Unless they've had a recent rules change, Paypal won't accept that insurance signature as proof of delivery - because it cannot be viewed online.
