On another V. forum they were talking about FISHEYE Zenitar 2.8/16 lens.
I looked it up on Ebay and there are some for sale in the $200 range. Do any of you know anything about this lens. Better if you own one how is it performing for you?
Can you share any photos taken with it? The photo shown on a Bessa T which is what I will use it with. Photo is the ebay sellers (kabacan)
It looks very large, whats the size? Also I want to state that lens in the $200 range are at the top end of my lens budget.

The lens is pretty good, not great. It is a full frame fisheye. I have one in Contax SLR mount, it is made for SLRs, and have used it with an adapter on my Contax G2. They come in M42 mounts as well, which you can mount on the Bessa with the right adapter. Unfortunately, it is not a small lens, about the size of a Nikon F mount 50 1.4, and there is no appropriate finder. You could use a CV 15mm finder, but you won't see the effect of the lens.

I was thinking of getting this lens for one of my M42 cameras if I had the money to spend. I decided against it when I found out the quality control on these lenses isn't very good, you can get one that isn't lined up properly (not sure if those are the right terms) and oyu'll have to take out some very tiny screws and fiddle around to fix this problem.

Some people may love doing these little tasks but my hands shake a little too much for that.

Saying all this, lots of people buy them and have no problems, have no idea about using them on a rangefinder though.

I use a Canon 7.5mm circular fisheye lens once in a while. It is not a lens for regular use.

I have one in M42 format, and I used it mostly with a Pentax *ist-ds. It is fine for me, but I might sell it soon because it doesnt get much use. I planned to use it with the rangefinders (with adapter) but after I got the 15mm super heliar it doesnt make much sense...
