Five New Mods at RFF

So ... we do have a female moderator? That would be very cool indeed. I support diversity. I am sure that most people here do too.

I also want to add my appreciation to the new mods. This is a great forum, and I'm very optimistic that it will stay one.

Thanks again,

JP

This is a wonderful forum-- it has entertained me and taught me a lot.

Stephen-- thanks for all the resources and time you spend on it. It is one-of-a-kind.

The members are an interesting, and sometimes contentious lot. I sometimes complain about the rules, but I know rules are necessary. Thanks in advance to the new mods for putting up with us.

Yes yes yes Raid,

Drabbit is a girl bunny,

and very welcome to the team.

Thank you to all of you for welcoming the guys on board. Perception is that this is a thankless role. Maybe I guess, but the truth is that the membership here is made up very overwhelmingly of good folks, so there are quite a few thank yous for us mod types.

So right back at you, thank you.

Not a mod appointed from south of the equator? ... why does that not surprise me!

That aside ... congrats to the new forum 'heavies' and congrats to management for upping the anti in regard to control of unruly behaviour.

OK, stupid question. What is the significance of the star symbol? Do all the moderators get one?

Honestly, going back in RFF history Jorge added them to the Moderators title way back when, and they just never went away. If I remember correctly, Joe, Kim and I asked to not have them added as we didn't see a need to be so differentiated, but they stayed.

I look at it like a Christmas ornament that never gets put away.

That's all.

Now I will have to deal with a life without having a star ...
Man, I need some good therapy!

Welcome

Welcome

Congratulations to the new, and a belated thanks to the veteran Mods.
Let`s hope that the rest of us don`t make their jobs any more difficult
than need be .

Regards,
Al
