I've been seeing tablets that work with flash. As we all know the iPad does NOT.
Has anyone tried one of those flash capable tablets?

I thought the latest IPad does run flash
It does not. It isn't a huge issue for me and my surfing, but it does come up occasionally.

Nope. No flash on Apple portable devices.
I've been looking into the Android tablets. I think a few of them are great. But the deeper I look, there really aren't any useful applications for the thing which limits its use significantly. So I guess I'm just going to fold and grab an iPad someday. All of my print magazine subscriptions have expired. So it seems like a great time to switch over to the digital format.

Yes, but the guide number is too low. Exposure on my slides was way under.
I'll keep my Nikon flash.

I have an Eee Pad Transformer, it's very nice, but the number of tablet optimized apps are thin on the ground. Flash runs fine, and while I'm not that fond of Flash, it's a reality we have to live with for the moment. I think the "no Flash on principle" approach at Apple is an attitude which does not befit a grown man, particularly one as brilliant as Steve Jobs.
If you don't mind sucky battery life, you could look at the Windows 7 tablets, which for all their flaws, at least run everything you could want.
The iPad 2 is very fast, very slick and works quite well, but only if you're happy in the "walled garden".

Oh, I tested about all of that stuff, but
1. Color balance of my slides was way off
2. Not enough light - severe under exposure
3. Worst of all: Not one of them had a proper connector for the flash shoe of my camera! :angel:

Samsung has a new model, and I saw that HP was selling a model that ran flash. The advertisements from these other brands really rub it in!
Maybe Apple will reconsider in the near future?

Apple is pretty much the only tablet vendor not doing Flash. It's not a technical problem, it's purely political. I don't see that changing whilst Steve Jobs calls the shots, but stranger things have happened.
If Flash is important to you, iPad is not the right choice, but for just about everything else, they've got a headstart on Android etc. The HP tablets look very nice, and if you can wait until they're released, I would.

Here is a test; intall "clicktoflash" on your computer and see what you will be missing. 90% is junk and advertisements 🙄

Flash puts a tremendous load on the processor, causing batteries to drain fast and slow down the overall performance.
Just un an program on your pc to see what processes are taking up the most amount of power. Just see with your own eyes what happens when you run a flash site.

Flash crashes my browser pretty much everytime I'm trying to run multiple applications. Biggest piece of crap software, I'm glad my iphone doesn't have it, and I can't wait till I never have to deal with it again.
For the 1 or 2 times on my iphone I've been desperate, I've just used the skyfire app for iOS, which converts flash video to a viewable format. Done.

As a long time linux user that had no flash on the desktop, then a third party version of it that never worked quite right and then a first party implementation that was done horribly, I've grown used to not using flash and disable it on my computers whenever possible. I cannot wait until this technology goes the way of the dodo.
Between the GF and I, we've got 2 MacBooks, a Mini (running Plex for TV), a BSD router, a Linux file server, two iPhones and an iPad. Her laptop is the only machine with flash.
