I couldn't find a thread on this maybe you guys can help me out. I was shooting something close up today and noticed that I could go below the stamped minimum distance on my 40mm summicron. When I got home I popped on my 50mm and the same thing happened! Is this the norm? I've never paid attention to this in 10 years of shooting and its driving me :bang: now. I did plan on sending in my 50 to Sherry as the aperture ring has stopped clicking, maybe now I have to send in my 40 too?

I don't have those, but every lens I've ever had has done that. I think it's normal..
