Focusing screens for minolta XD / X-700

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if the focusing screens of the XD-7/11 and X-700 are interchangeable?
I got an XD-7 with a scratched focusing screen and i was wondering if I can swap it with the screen from my X-700.

I changed the focusing screen/fresnel on my XD-7 a couple months ago. Pretty easy process. I don't think the x-700 will fit though, although you could try of course.

I had an X700 ages ago...manuals say that you should hand over your body to a Minolta service/repairman-but I guess they don't offer that particular service anymore...
My best guess is that you would have to find a donor body and than carefully replace the screen with tweezers and a can of clean-air-I did clean my X700 sometimes, it isn't that hard! Good luck!
