I loaded film on my Leica M6 shot few frames and left the the camera with the lens without cap for few days, and find the picture like this. Is this fogging?

it looks like a light leak. i have an M3 does the same thing if i leave the cap off the lens for an extended period of time. the shutter is only cloth after all.

Does this appear in any other frames? It does not look like a typical light leak or shutter/curtain problem to me. Another question: does the fogging stay inside the image frame on the neg, or does it extend into the film sprocket hole area and between frames of the negative?

no i don't think its common but i did replace the shutter curtains with after market ones... and i think that they're either thinner or similarly inferior to the original Leitz curtains. the leak doesn't occur with my other M cameras.

I think it is a common thing in RF without a mirror. It hapened in my Leica M6, M3, IIIf as well as Canon 7s. Only one frame have this problem. All of the frames were left without cap on it for few days to weeks.
