161 views since 2009, and partly because it's Christchurch New Zealand. Fuji Superia. Not sure this would have been possible with digital, the detail in the light and the exposure for the back of the cafe.
13k view for a quick snapshot because several sites used it for illustration or banner (CC license) and luckily they link back.
Yeah, mostly came from those although I don't have Flickr Stats to confirm it anymore
Seems like as long as it's not so crappy, exposure is more important than being perfect isn't it ? At least for view count.
The only spike I've ever seen is when the picture got used as stock photo by news site, and there will be increase of view from peoples clicking the credit link.
That, and well tagged picture of things many average peoples would be looking for, such as events or venues.
I had a photo of a small church already destroyed used by the church's comitee. Likely not because it's the best out there, but simply because it's tagged with the church's name and thus easily searchable.
I have definitely not experienced the explosion in views most other flickr users have since flickr destroyed the site's design. This pic has 5,000-something views, about what it had last year.
Oddly enough I much prefer the second ranked in both my top Interestingness and View Count photos. 🙄 Oh well, here's most viewed, 500-odd Untitled by Rudybustamante, on Flickr
#1 viewed non gear shot, views probably accrued due to someone linking it to a thread on the CV35 F1.2 mark II onion bokeh. L1001945 by J_TULLAR, on Flickr
