For the LOVE of COLOR...Post Yours

South Devon hunt. Fuji Pro400h through Leitz Summicron 35mm f2

If I could get a digital camera to produce these colours, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Charles,

That's just a matter of finding an image processing app with a film emulation mode that matches the color rendering you're looking for. Shoot raw, process afterwards. SnapSeed will do that just fine. :D

Lovely photo, btw. :D

i was just thinking that.

Thank you so much Helen. I saw them in the distance when out for a drive, stopped and even had a colour film in the Leicaflex, and the light did the rest.

Purest serendipity that I took the right rather than the left turn.

Yes I know what you mean. These colors and tones are beautiful. I think its the fine gradations of color and tone that really do it for me. I spend hours in post processing trying for looks like this. Which I do not necessarily mind - I enjoy the process and the challenge. But the frustrating thing about it is that I find that there is no way of just crating and saving a formula and clicking a button to apply it every time. In digital post processing, outcomes are very image dependent so I end up working from scratch each time. Adjustments that work for one image will produce entirely different outcomes in another. Anyway. Your image is very nice -due largely to its colors.

there are two women in Miyamoto Musashi's life, Otsu and Akemi, Yachikusa Kaoru as Otsu, Okada Mariko as Akemi, So, 'Ginger or Mary Ann'...'Otsu or Akemi'(?)...Otsu i think, i can still see her in some recent Japanese Dorama, Okada 岡田 茉莉子...she was in 'Tampopo' briefly...

Love it Godfrey! To me some of the most potent colour images are virtually monotone.

I'm just luxuriating in shooting a bit more colour film again, I just adore Fuji Pro400H in the Leicaflex SL2 above reason.
