For the LOVE of COLOR...Post Yours

Yes, it's been hazy the past couple of days. We assume an effect from the fires north around Winthrop.
You figure an M8 would render the reflected color on the gate differently?

Just a recollection of the M8 when used without IR filter when photographing blacks. And that said I recall it was an issue with fabrics that were black (showing a magenta cast) but maybe not with painted wood or metal.

Yes, any color really; anything that reflected more infrared. Man-made fabrics, foliage (brownish greens), faces... Before getting an M8 I had heard about this but in my first few months with it I just didn't see a problem so didn't use the UV/IR Cut filters. Shortly afterward I went on a University trip sans filter to Malta and saw the IR effect in many photos there. I became a believer, and still use the filters on all digital M cameras!

That's interesting. I definitely had the color drift with that camera (loved the camera though). I still have several IR Filters and should try them.

Agreed^^^ Nice Steve!

I recall that spot where you made the third one here. I was there years back, with color film in my Hexar AF (so must have been mid-late 90s).
