Trying out Color Efex Pro with the X100:
I love Color Efex Pro. It has so many filters and options and is so able to be configured. I absolutely love using "Glamor Glow" which as its name suggests adds a glow to the image. It must be judiciously used however (In fact the same can be said for all of them) . I also love "Darken-lighten Centre". Far and away the best and most (potentially- one must use it carefully) subtle vignette filter I have seen. Also the "Tonal Contrast" filter. It needs special care as its default settings are far too high and if not applied correctly its results can be funky but its a superb way to claw back detail into an image and is particularly useful for reclaiming detail lost in highlights. These are possibly the filters I use most of all when shooting but from time to time also find the 'brilliant / warmth filter', the 'white neutralizer' and the 'classic soft focus' filters to be useful. The first three mentioned filters were used in the image below
