Here is Old Glory being flown by the USCGC Eagle. When I sailed I noticed that everybody flew the flag off their sailboat regardless of their position in the political spectrum. You just do it because you want to. The Coast Guard has less choice than civilians, but here it is, big and bold in the sunlight.
