What is the best lens for the NEX in terms of value for money in your opinion?
I have found this post at cscrumors.com that says in their opinion it may be the Sigma 30mm F2.8.
If you have a Sigma 30mm F2.8 please share your photos taken with it.

User reports have been all over the place on the Sigma as well as the kit lens. If you do not object to manual focus which is very easy on the NEX with focus peaking any SLR Legacy lens with a inexpensive adapter will save you cash. Garage sale finds will usally have a vintage SLR body attached as well. Have fun, Wayne

I heard a lot of good words about the Sigma 30mm F2.8 but never tried one.
The kit lens is decent lens money wise.
IMHO, among several Leica M lens I use on NEX, the 40 cron is best in money value.

My 16/2.8 lens is actually very good on the 7 wide open. Looking at files the sharpness holds up out near the edge.
The kit lens that came with the 7 is also very good.
I've seen some great images with the Sigma over on getdpi.

The Sigma 30/2.8, Sony 50/1.8 OSS, and the 16/2.8, in that order. I hear good things about the 19/2.8, too, but have never used it.
The 30/2.8, on the other hand, has made most rangefinder or SLR 28s irrelevant except for those who simply want a manual focus lens.

FSU L39 lenses work great and are an excellent value. I've had great results from Jupiter 8 and 9.

Hi, i have the nex 5, plain 5, with it the pancake 16mm f2.8 that´s a fine lens at 5.6-8...but not really good wide open.
That lens is great when comes to focus, real fast!
Recently bought the sigma 30mm f 2.8, a gem, sharp from 2.8 on.
The shortcomming comes when you wake it up or turn on the camera, has a lot of lag on the startup, that doesn´t occur with the pancake lens.
This one taken at f2.8, hope this helps you out, only pp was darkening a bit the image, no sharpening or contrast added.
