I send 2 of my broken CLE to Scott Nielsen Who use to repair for Minolta
One of them had all speeds messed up especially 1000.
The other one the shutter was not reseating and was checked by a “known” Leica repair man who said it is beyond repair.
Both of them came back working perfectly and are shooting first rolls at the moment.
Communications was great and service was fast. We chatted about what parts he can machine and how he can help the CLE community.
Scott also machined the part for my broken winder. If you have a broken one hit him up i think he made 20.
There is 90 days warranty after you receive your cameras.
I hope they last me a long time.
I am happy there is hope again for CLE users. After I lost 2 out of 3 cameras I was very sad and upset and even almost considered becoming another rangefinder shooter.
But now I am back with the cameras I love and am not stress out not having cameras in the future.

If you have a CLE for cla or repair contact Scott

. If you are willing to spend the money Contact him
A good repairman is worth the money. I would rather pay a little more for a repair and get it fixed correctly the first time.
To me, anything else is false economy. I'll get in touch with him about the Hi-Matic. Thanks for the info.

Do you know if he can do anything to fix the "spot" problem on the M Rokkor 28mm lens? I doubt it but thought that I would ask.

I wanted to add my praise for Scott as well - I sent him a CLE that was originally in pretty rough shape, and it came back looking like a completely new camera. When I first bought it, the collar around the rewind crank was missing, the electronics were working but sporadic, and the bottom plate was hanging loose and missing screws. Clearly someone had been messing around inside the camera, especially since Scott later said that some of the screws were the wrong spec as well. But I got it for a bargain, and I'm glad I took the chance and sent it to Scott to fix up.

The camera came back looking cleaner than ever and working perfectly. He has a good supply of parts, and didn't have any trouble locating a new rewind collar and screws. It's really nice that these great cameras have some more life left in them, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Scott if you need yours worked on as well!
