I just found an old bottle of xtol stock in the back of my closet... decided to do a quick clip test with it to see if it's still developing.
The leader turned dark pretty fast, I developed it for 6-7 minutes in the stock solution and fixed it for a couple of minutes afterwards.
the long barnack-style-cut piece was developed in that ancient xtol (leader still wet)
The other one was developed in HC110 yesterday.
Both show approx. the same density
It was stored in a dark closet at room temperature in a high filled plastic bottle for a little bit over 2 years now

Still clear in color.
I assume this xtol bottle should be safe to use, what do you think?

Well-known
It looks OK to me. I use Xtol all the time (usually 1:1) and have had bottles of stock in a dark place for months on end and it still does the job.
Hope it goes well for you.
PS: I should add that it is so cheap anyway, if you have doubts sling it and get new stock.

I developed a roll right now, the 2+ years old xtol works just fine
funny, as xtol seems to be notorious for dying quite fast

Think Different
In a tightly stoppered container, it appears to last quite long. I've successfully used Xtol 12 - 14 months after it was mixed.
