as much as you can use a digital to get a preview a digital body and extra lens is more hassle. i would have to mount my digital on the tripod take shot then mount my rz67
which would be a different field of view. with the polaroid back you get a view of how the picture will be like. if you dont like it you can amend framing or exposure and then just switch backs.

I'm glad I didn't buy the Polaroid 250 I had on evaluation a few months ago. First FP3000B, and now this - what a shame. I very much liked the results from both films.

Most places I looked were on back order, I did place an order so I have my fingers crossed that it will go through. My 250 land was my wife's grandmother's camera so it'll be a shelf queen before I sell it.

RANT MODE..................Freaking FUJI. Now; just *after raising prices, announces the discontinuing of FP-100c. SO everyone who wants the last of it will pay that *extra* amount to fuji; who, INSTEAD of say, making a new run with the massive profits, just sticks the cash in pocket and sells the machines for scrap. THIS is why I stopped using Neopan 400 my fav film of all time even tho I still could find rolls. and why I don’t support fuji. They care NOTHING of the actual user of their products other than a profit source. They will do the same to ACROS and anything else still left in the freezer at Fuji. RANT OFF as I dust off the Polaroid back for my Rollei 6008i.

I shot a bunch in the last year but sold the last of my stock. Now I wished I'd kept a few packs. Out of stock in the usual places and $20 per pack on Amazon. My cameras didn't cost too much like raid's. Still have one unused battery for my 420/450.

Oh wait, my cameras still have film in them!

Instax films and cameras are the *ONLY* Fuji camera system that show growth and profitability. All their digital camera sales are dropping and the whole digital camera business is generally dying. It's all clearly stated in their latest financial report. Instead of widening their profitable Instax offerings from the current credit card size Instax Mini films to something larger they now decide to kill the 3x4 pack film. It just doesn't make sense.

Sure it does.

Kodak can tell you what thinking that you should concentrate on what is profitable at the moment does to you.

Fuji clearly doesn't think that film products can be a viable, long term, core business for them (even though marketing people will tell you otherwise - "commited to film, blah, blah..."). That is why digital will be sold even at a loss (at the moment) and film will be dropped (or prices raised) the second its profits drop below certain threshold.

Is this the same instant film that can be used with the hasselblad "polaroid" back? Sorry for such a naive question but I havent used my "polaroid" back for so long that I forget.

just ordered 10 packs. price has gone up since yesterday.

if anyone is in uk/europe go to marodirect. it was 12.98euro yesterday but now 14.95euro.

i only started using film last year and love the process from start to finish. feels like a losing battle to keep my joy of this format going. i tried neopan 400 and i absolutely loved how it looked. i wish i was into photography when they still was available.

I hope I'm wrong but overall digital camera sales figures look really horrible. The number of digital cameras sold this year is something in a ballpark of one fifth of what they sold seven or eight years ago. There's absolutely no growth in sight for digital camera market. No industry can survive for long such a brutal market evolution. Leica is the only company that is still making some profit on digital cameras (that's not because they make superior products but because it's a rare Veblen product, which is totally fine and I hope it continues)

Could be. Another explanation could be there are no other image sizes available. In a normal situation when a company stumbles upon a product that brings about growth and money they will try to offer modifications (smaller, larger, cheaper, more expensive etc.) to find out all available pockets of demand. Fuji is now doing the opposite.
