Fsu plastic lens hood

Has anyone had any problems getting these rectangular plastic FSU made hoods (shades) to stay on the lens? Other than gluing them on the lens.

Depends on the lens & hood - there seems to be some variations; I've got three of those rectangular slip-on hoods, and a wide variety of FSU lenses, and on some it is hard to get them on at all, on some they fit just perfectly, and on some they are rather loose...
