But that is basically true of just about all cameras converted to ir.. There is bound to some lenses in the lineup for that said manufacturer that will have hot spot issues, I believe.

It sounds like it is pretty much a full spectrum.. They mentioned uv, visible light range and ir up to 1000nm.

For one, the glass that filters UV and IR is extremely sensitive to moisture, and you don't want it outside the camera or available to the elements. That is the essence of the M9 sensor rust problem.
