Does anyone know if the strap lugs on this camera can be replaced?

I've an opportunity to buy this camera with a good price, but according to the seller one of the lugs is in bad shape. I haven't seen the pics about it yet, but I assume the lug cannot be relied on anymore for carrying the camera.

Easily possible, the lugs are metal tabs that are screwed to the frame after removing the cover. There even are lug spares for the II and III being offered on ebay. But beware: The original GW690 has a quite different lug configuration with two front-mounted lugs to the right, and I haven't seen spares for them. You'd either have to find original spares, a dead body or some technician who can cut and drill you one from brass sheet (a trivial job for any old-fashioned locksmith, watchmaker or camera tech, but these are getting rare).

If the lug is torn or missing, the camera should IMHO be at least $100 cheaper than average, or it will in the long run be more expensive than a good one...

Thanks very much for your help Sevo! Luckily there's still a good camera tech close to me - I'll ask them for an estimate for such work.
