I bought a Fuji Natura Black 1.9 off evilbay a while ago and I have to say it's not particularly good value for money. The lens isn't as sharp as I hoped and it leaves the photographer little to control. Using the Natura mode (compulsory with fast film) is frustrating. I am not sure what it does, beside disable what few remaining user controls are available.

Night photos are always a mixed bag of good and bad. I am a bit of a control freak and can't help but get the feeling that if I knew what aperture and shutter speed I was using I'd be able to avoid the bad shots. Focus is fully random too.

I can't help but think that this camera is legendary only for its f/stop. Even then it falls far short in every way compared to my Hexar AF which is f/0.1 slower and half the value.

Fuji also need to address the grain of their film. Not that they likely consider it an important segment for R&D anymore.

Anyway, here's one that came out well. It was taken moments after Holland beat Uruguay to get into the 2010 World Cup finals. Camera was the Fujifilm Natura Black 1.9, film was Fuji Natura 1600 ASA and it looks like 1/30s (hand held). The wide 24mm lens caught the atmosphere well.

to bad. on paper it looks great. My experience is that the fuji superia/natura 1600 was much better overexposed a stop, likewise with the fuji 800 (which Is a really great film, or was since it was just discontinued this spring:( so if the camera exposes at 1600 it wouldn't bring out the best in the film.
