Hello,

I realise this may seem a daft question..

I've got a couple of boxes of Fuji pro 160 in 4x5, the only trouble is it's a while since I last used any, and I seem to remember one box was exposed but awaiting processing, and the other unused.

I develop black and white but not colour, and have Ilfords version of D76.

Dev It has a listing for Fujicolour C200 in D76 for 9 minutes at 1+1.. I figured 7.30 minutes might work for Pro 160 at stock strength.

Does anyone have development times which may work?

I'm not expecting great negatives from this, only to see if there's an exposure - to send them off/ discard.

Thank you,

Jonathan

You will most probably get a picture on the negative.

Just curious why experimenting with different dilution when you have time/dilution that somebody already tested?

Why not just send it to a lab and get it processed in C-41 color chemicals, like God and Fuji intended?

You can develop color films in BW chemicals, and you'll get a BW image, but image quality will be poor compared to real BW film.

Thank you for your replies,

Realisitcally it's £4 to for C41 development of a 4x5 around here, plus postage or fuel, and good quality images aren't needed for the purpose of determining whether a box of film is used or unused.. I havent had them developed by now, so they may not have been great at the time.

I'll try 8 minutes and see what happens.

Thank you,

Jonathan
