Fuji Superia for £1!

Cheap film...available while it lasts. Sure there are stocks lying around....so hurry up and buy while it's there, while it's available. When mines of cheap consumer film will be emptied....you know it.

Hope I'm not breaking any forum rules (I don't have any connection with the shops).

Just thought I'd give a heads up. I've discovered that the Poundland stores in the UK are selling what I believe is rebranded Fuji Superia for only £1 - this is a permanent price, not a promotion!

Poundland shops have been selling £1 film for years.
Agfaphoto Vista Plus for the last 2-3 years. Before that it was Kodak Colorplus. They even had once Kodak Ultra 400.

Not all shops have it thought as it is up to the shop Manager to order it or not.

Had you Googled "Poundland film", you would have seen there's a lot of talk about it.

Just for clarification, Agfaphoto Vista+ 200 is Fuji C200. Same emulsion code.
It isn't Superia. It is a cheaper and grainier version.
Still it is a lovely film for snapshots.

Thanks Ricardo - never occurred to me to check out pound stores! Off to see if my local Poundland has any, as I'd given up shooting 35mm since 120 is not much more costly!

Not like you to be slow of the mark Rich :)

They`ve been selling it for a quid for years ... both shops in my area have stacks of the stuff.

Oops ...sorry just seen post 4 ...and yes its Vista 200.

Yes this is rebadged Fuji C200 rather than Superia but still a bargain. The only thing you need to watch is the fact that they mix up 24 and 36 exposure films on the same shelf, both for...err...£1.

Well better late than never! I'd given up shooting 35mm because it was too expensive for casual use! Just bought 10 rolls, and will dust off my Nikkormat, which hasn't seen film for 7 years now!

Fiver for a pint ...good grief.

Hi Ronnie ...yes one of the girls from the stable yard is up your way at uni ...she says its dark
Last time I was in Edinburgh a pint was at London prices too.
I still haven`t recovered from the 80 shilling heavy at the Diggers :)

My Nikkormat - soon to be used in anger now I have cheap film!

Nice pic of your Nikkormat Rich!

I just received my 100 rolls of Fuji C200 (same as the Agfa Vista plus) which was $1.49 for 36 exposures from Adorama. Since my order, they doubled the price..

I shot a test roll yesterday and will get the scans back today to see how it really is. Some have complained about it being grainy etc and so an 'amateur' film but here's the thing. Kodak Tri-X is grainy. And people love it and regard it as a pro film. I don't judge films as being pro or amateur, but having their own unique look which one uses for the desired effect.

Anyway, I'll be posting results with this Fuji C200/Arista Plus so people can judge whether they like the look or not.

FYI, Costco in Marina Del Rey, CA (USA) develops and scans (3000-ish by 2000-ish) C41 film for $4.86.

Hi,

Some supermarkets will develop and scan to CD for three quid but scans are only 1840 x 1232 but good enough for monitors and testing.

Regards, David

PS Last time I bought a drink in a pub in Brighton it was 1/1 for a half of Guiness. That was a long, long time ago...

Yeah, they've been at it for years, but in the last 6 months it's been harder to find up here (York).

I use them as test films for new cameras to check for exposure and light leaks etc
