This thread has me thinking that I should try it again but I`ve sworn off colour film .
Yes Mike Blackpool can be interesting in the summer months.
Bruce Davidson called it a "honky tonk town "

...as long as we get no more shots like that guitar player that might tip me over the edge.

Another Agfa Vista shot.
Taken with Mju.
I think that its already been mentioned that the film doesn`t tolerate under exposure ...I think that`s why I took to using it in the Mju.
The meter was good whereas I have a tendency to under expose when using a meter less camera

Hi,
Well, there's that nice old fashioned Fomapan 200 at something like £3-50 or so for a 36 exposure cassette...

I bought 8 rolls of Fujicolor 200 for around $1.30 each while I was in Hawaii. It was a sale price, and I should have just grabbed all of the rolls they had. I still have 4 left, and will probably use them as test rolls for new cameras. I like the look when converted to B&W:

I didn't see this mentioned above, so apologies if I missed it: Flickr group for this and related Poundland films here:
https://www.flickr.com/groups/2165089@N24/
There's a good discussion of availability, etc., here:

As stated above, it's apparently up to individual store managers whether to stock it or not, so go ahead and ask. Fuji C200 also shows up in Canada as Shopper's Drug Mart Easypix 200, which is unfortunately a lot more than one pound in price.
Picked up a few rolls in Scotland in 2013, seems nice to me.

The shame about moving this topic to Film/Development/Chemistry is that in a way it limits the audience to film die hards.
Others, who may either have given up on film or never tried it because of assumed expense, could be brought back in with the knowledge that great film is still available for very little money.

I agree. That's why I started this thread in the General forum - deliberately! Mods...?The shame about moving this topic to Film/Development/Chemistry is that in a way it limits the audience to film die hards.

My local lab does a good job with it and they only charge £2.50 for c41 development and return the negs in nice Kenro sleeves for me (Snapsphotoservices in Bournemouth). I prefer the way this film records colours to Portra 400, I didn't notice it looking overly grainy but all of it I have shot I have done so at a personal EI of 100. A bigger issue with using this film or any lab dev is postage costs, it costs me around £3 to post film over to them and another £2.50 to get it back again. Would be madness to do that for just one roll and even sending say 2 or 3 at a time feels not quite right on cost balance.

Yes, I've used Snaps in Bournemouth and agree that they provide a decent service at a good price. I also agree about the economics of postage costs and tend to wait until I have 4 or 5 C41 rolls now before sending anything off. Some of the mail order labs (for example, AG and, I think, Peak) provide postage-paid labels or bags but it is all a bit swings and roundabouts because their dev costs can be a little higher per roll (albeit still very reasonable).

At one time I got my C41 dev for £1.98 from a Max Sp just down the road.
Fifteen min turn around too.
We had a bit of a disagreement though
