Fuji Superia for £1!

I wouldn't take anything into Max Sp, they've been awful every time I've used them.

Asda is my personal choice, it's £2 a roll, (dev & scan) and an extra £1 for the cd (up to 4 films per cd). turned round in an hour.

Yes ... I must admit that I often averted my eyes as they dragged the negatives across the floor 😱

Asda sound good although I have sworn off colour film 😕

Another overcast light shot. Excellent saturation, minimal grain.

BTW, no one commented on the Guiness at 1/1d or just over 5p in that new money...

Ok, David, I'll bite - I wonder how many reading the thread can remember when there were 12d in a shilling, or 48 farthings? (I'm sure Roger will). I still remember getting my head around guineas when I was a callow youth.

Beer prices - my first pint cost about 10d - a Bass between O-level examinations (yes, I was only 15!) 😉

To stay on topic - my local Poundland shops don't seem to have any film - maybe someone beat me to it?

Why would you do such a thing?

Well looking at some of the shots on this thread has me thinking ,I admit, but I`ve never been entirely happy with colour negative film.

I like the colour from my Merrills and its more flexible for my needs.

I was a Kodachrome user 25/64/200 for thirty years and prefer that colour palette to be honest....if we are talking about just film.

PS ... just remembered that I gave away my last 10 rolls to a friend .

Hi,

I wondered how many would recognise 1/1 as money? And, like everything else, as you get to this age you realise you speak a different language, to the rest of the world.

Poundland has a lot of stores round here but all a 15 to 25 mile round trip and I wonder how to get to them without wasting a day on a bus or a lot of money on the car...

Regards, David

I`m afraid that I can ...I often find myself exclaiming "What two and six " ...sad really 🙂

Bags of Poundlands `round here all ...last time I looked ... stacked with the stuff.

Blackpool attracts the retired and many of them still use film.

Have you looked at the price of a newspaper recently?

Regards David

PS And a half-crown could buy five Mars bars or similar, what coin can do that these days?

I can offer Superia 100 35mm for Eur. 1,67. For practical reasons I can sent Europe wide. 20 pcs. Eur. 33,50 !
Payment via IBAN/BIC. Registered enveloppe Eur. 11,-
the Netherlands: Eur. 3,95

Bigger quantities on request, even a better price.

I sometimes use my local Asda at £3 for dev plus scan for the convenience and they are okay for the cost but I do have to re-sleeve the negs when I get home (a small freezer bag doesn't quite do the job for me😀) and I did have to look away recently when the assistant had my film spooled all over the work surface whilst she quickly cut it into 4 frame strips before popping them into the aforementioned freezer bag.

BTW C200 is not sold anymore in Europe.

Aha.
And then why can I easily buy it at my local photo store, or online at
Fotoimpex, Foto Brenner, Nordfoto, Macodirect, Foto R3, just to name a few.
Besides that AgfaPhoto Vista 200 is the same emulsion as Fuji C200.
So there is definitely no availability problem with this emulsion / film type.

Cheers, Jan
