Hello,

I'm new to RFF as I have just been given my first RF camera, a Fujica 35-ML. Everything seems to be in working order, the shutter works, everything moves, and I'll be trying out some test shots this evening.

One thing this camera did not come with is a manual. I've figured out pretty much everything, but would like to have the manual. If anyone has a copy or knows where one can be had I'd appretiate the info.

If not, the biggest thing question I have is a setting on the lense just behind the timer. it has a red X and a green M and a little switch to move between them. I have no idea what that would be.

Thanks for any help and for the great resource.

Welcome sh3rp4,

I have a Fujica 35 ML, no manual, and not a whole lot of available info. on the net. Here is one helpful site that deals with the 35 M an almost identical camera with out the light value linkage that the 35 ML has.

The switch that you are referinng to is the flash synch. setting. I don't use flash with this camera, so I really don't know what each setting is used for.

Thanks, that site helps alot.

It seems the M X setting is flash sync, you use M for bulb flashes and it gives it a 20milisecond delay to let the bulb come up to temp/brightness. X is for regular flash.

I shot a roll with the camera guesstimating exposures as I don't have a light meter. If that comes out OK (showing that the camera at least works) I'm going to pick up a light meter (maybe a Sekonic L208) and go from there.

I haven't shot film in a long time. This should be fun.
